Everyone who interviews for a role should always prepare short and long-term goals. Be it three months, six months, or even a year, a goal should always be at the back of your mind. This allows the company to know if your goals align with theirs.
4. Dressing inappropriately
Whether in a zoom or in-person interview, you should always dress for your desired role. Remember, the first interview is the company’s first impression of you as a potential employee.
5. Failing to follow through
Your time and the time of the company are both very valuable, so if you are given the opportunity for a second or third interview, always be honest about whether you are still interested in the position. If you accept the invitation, be curious enough to inform the company as soon as possible if circumstances change that prevent you from attending the interview.
